MODDEDZONE – Availability Guarantee Policy (Conformité à la Loi 29 du Québec)

1. Scope and Purpose

This Availability Guarantee applies to all MODDEDZONE-branded products sold or distributed in Quebec that are considered “goods of a nature that requires maintenance” under Bill 29 and Section 79.18 of the Regulation Respecting the Application of the Consumer Protection Act.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Custom and modified controllers based on Sony PlayStation® and Microsoft Xbox® platforms

  • Removable modules, thumbsticks, paddles, and internal electronic components

  • Any product requiring future servicing, part replacement, or technical maintenance

2. Availability of Replacement Parts and Repair Services

MODDEDZONE confirms that all essential replacement parts (including, but not limited to, thumbsticks, buttons, internal mod chips, triggers, and shell components) are available directly from MODDEDZONE.

  • Replacement parts are not sold for self-installation, as installation requires specialized equipment and calibration.

  • To ensure safety, functionality, and warranty compliance, all repairs and part replacements must be performed exclusively by MODDEDZONE’s certified technicians.

✅ Repair & Maintenance Services

  • Consumers may return their product to the MODDEDZONE Service Centre for inspection, repair, replacement, or recalibration.

  • Standard turnaround times, pricing, and procedures are published online and available in English and French.

3. Installation Feasibility & Tooling Requirements

As required by regulation:

  • Replacement parts cannot be safely installed using commonly available tools without risk of irreversible damage.

  • Therefore, self-repair is not authorized, and installation is only permitted at the MODDEDZONE workshop to maintain product integrity and performance.

4. Maintenance Information

Maintenance and usage instructions are equivalent to the guidelines provided for original Sony or Microsoft controllers, supplemented where applicable with MODDEDZONE-specific instructions (e.g., calibration, firmware usage, mod activation).

  • Where applicable, it will be included in user manuals and packaging inserts for MODDEDZONE products distributed in Quebec.

La présente Garantie de disponibilité s’applique à tous les produits MODDEDZONE vendus ou distribués au Québec qui sont considérés comme des « biens nécessitant de l’entretien » conformément à la Loi 29 et à l’article 79.18 du Règlement d’application de la Loi sur la protection du consommateur.

2. Disponibilité des pièces de rechange et services de réparation

✅ Pièces de rechange

MODDEDZONE confirme que toutes les pièces essentielles (joysticks, boutons, puces électroniques, coques, etc.) sont disponibles directement auprès de MODDEDZONE.

  • Les pièces ne sont pas vendues pour installation par le consommateur, car l’installation nécessite un outillage spécialisé.

  • Toutes les réparations et remplacements doivent être effectués exclusivement dans l’atelier de MODDEDZONE par des techniciens certifiés.

3. Installation et outils requis

  • Les pièces de rechange ne peuvent pas être installées à l’aide d’outils courants sans risque de dommage irréversible.

  • Le service doit donc être effectué uniquement par MODDEDZONE.

4. Informations d’entretien

Les instructions d’utilisation et d’entretien sont équivalentes à celles des manettes Sony/Microsoft d’origine, avec des ajouts spécifiques MODDEDZONE si nécessaire.
